Blake Swaidner is a writer-director and founder of Mercurial Films, based in Austin, TX. His shorts, including System (2024) and The Shape I Followed (2025), work in psychologically charged drama, often with surreal and philosophical dimensions, exploring intimate stories where private struggles open onto larger questions of identity, belief, and transformation. His feature screenplay Mind Flowers is in development, and a third short is currently in pre-production.
